A heating or air-conditioning installation (10) for a car has a housing arrangement (11) which has a suction chamber (13) on the suction side of a fan (12) with at least one air inlet (15,16). On the pressure side of the fan, at least one absorption filter that can be bypassed is located inside the housing arrangement. It is provided with a conducting system (48) guided along the housing arrangement for feeding back of leakage air into the suction chamber which is produced at least at one leakage air inlet in the region between the absorption filter and the housing arrangement. The suction chamber is designed as a metering and mixing chamber and incorporates a metering and mixing organ that can pivot about an axis (20), intended for the metering of at least one air flow introduced into the suction chamber by the air inlets. The conducting system opens out in the suction chamber with a channel (54) located coaxially to the pivot axis of the dosing and mixing organ.
