The arrangement has a knocking sensor (2) assigned to each cylinder. The sensor signal is delivered to an integrator (6) after a controllable amplifier (3), a band-pass filter (4) and a rectifier. The integrator is connected to the vehicle's control unit computer (7) in a fixed or controllable area of the cylinder outlet. Each integration result of knocking is connected to the vehicle control unit, to alter the drive parameters. The filter has a fixed or adjustable center frequency. The filter has a quality factor of two and a side-band damping greater than 100dB/decade, preferably 160 dB/decade.
