ARTIFICIAL BLOOD VESSEL

摘要

An artificial blood vessel having the following characteristics: 1) having an antithrombotic effect; 2) having a tissue affinity; 3) being rapidly converted into endothelium; and 4) allowing regeneration of host tissues; and a process for producing the same. The artificial blood vessel is one collected from a heterologous organism from which the cellular constituents of the blood vessel have been completely eliminated. The above process aims at producing this artificial blood vessel and involves the step of washing a blood vessel collected from a heterologous organism with a surfactant to thereby completely eliminate the cellular constituents of the blood vessel therefrom.
