949,615. Time switches. HOLZER PATENTS A.G. March 14, 1960 [March 19, 1959; June 15, 1959 (2)], No. 8867/60. Heading H2B. [Also in Division G3] A time switch has a timer 1 incorporating a drum 3 with a contact portion 4 engaging a series of contacts 5-9 sequentially and thus sending a signal through a closed one of switches 19-21 and 41 to a programme device 2 having a motor 15 driving through gearing a programme drum 22, the drum moving one step for every complete revolution of motor 15 and cam 24 which controls hold-on contacts 33. As the cam 24 moves contact 35 brakes a circuit including an electromagnetic clutch 12 which disconnects the timer 1 from the continuously running motor 11, whereupon the timer 1 is returned to zero by spring 40. An alternative disconnection system (not shown) is disclosed in which a cam on lever lifts one of a timer gears driving timer 1 and thus allows the spring return to operate. Specification 949,614 is referred to.
|
