The boot fixing comprises a detachable rigid base (1) which is fitted to the ski (2) by a front stop (3) and a heel binding (4) which is used on the descent. The base has a transverse forward bracket (10) with two opposite side branches (12,13) which have their lower ends joined to the base and their upper ends made with holes for a transverse axle. The axle passes through a hole in the front end of the boot sole and allows the boot toe to pivot. The forward bracket is made and positioned so that its axle is situated above the front end of the base so that the tip of the boot sole is only a short distance behind the rear end of the front stop jaw. The upper ends of the bracket's side branches are offset forwards in relation to their lower ends. |
