The assembly consists of a housing (4) with a gas channel (16) and a shutter (6) which turns on a spindle (10) with its axis (40) situated outside a plane formed by the shutter periphery (26). The shutter is weighted towards closure, where its periphery meets a constriction (20) in the housing wall. The shutter periphery is shaped to coincide with the taper of the housing constriction, and the diameter of the channel is smaller after the constriction than before it.
