A convective heatsink and a method of forming a convective heatsink. One or more protrusions (4) of substantially uniform height are formed in generally planar metal fins (2). The fins are arranged on an elongate base (1) in an array with the fins (2) extending substantially transversely to the base (1). The fins (2) are spaced apart by contact of the protrusions (4) with an adjacent fin (2). The fins (2) are joined to the base (1) and interconnected adjacent at a location spaced from the base. |
