PURPOSE:To improve peeling strength of a zirconia coating layer formed on a furnace material comprising alumina material or alumina/zirconia. CONSTITUTION:The furnace material is prepared from alumina material or alumina/zirconia as the main source and molded into a furnace molding. The surface of this furnace molding is coated with a zirconia slurry to form a zirconia coating layer 2, and then the molding with the coating layer 2 is fired at specified firing temp. In this process, a zirconia diffusion layer 3 is formed in the interface of the alumina or alumina/zirconia furnace material 1 and the zirconia coating layer 2, and the zirconia coating layer 2 having large peeling strength is formed on the surface of the furnace material 1. |
