Seat belt pulling-in device for motor vehicles

The pulling-in device has two spools (20,30), a drum or drum shaft, and a drive force mechanism (40). The turning ratio of the first spool relative to the second spool can be altered in order to reduce the force required to pull out the belt (W). The first spool is in the form of a cylindrical drum and the second spool has a part (34) of small diameter, a part (32) of large diameter and a transition part connecting these parts. The cable (25) can be transferred from one of these parts to the other.
