The device has one or more control elements with pref. tip function, for generation of accelerating or decelerating momentums. The control elements are positioned within the movement path of the gear change lever of the automatic transmission. The transmission has a second lever shaft (2) parallel to the normal shaft (1) for the automatic transmission lever. The shafts are connected via a slot (3), so that the gear change lever can also reach the second shaft. The control elements are located in the second shaft, which also contains spring elements to move the gear change lever into zero position, when it is not being operated. The device has a logical coupling to a distance regulator system.
