CRT BULB GLASS CONTAINING PbO AND Fe2O3

摘要

In an X-ray absorbing CRT bulb glass containing 10-40 weight % PbO and having an absorption coefficient not smaller than 40 cm<-1 > with respect to an X-ray having a wavelength of 0.6 angstrom, the glass contains 0.06-10 weight % Fe2O3 to thereby suppress lead from leaching into water in the atmosphere or in the ground where the CRT is wasted and dumped, so as to avoid the environmental pollution by the lead leached in the ground.
