It comprises a metering device 2 which includes a container 3 for the ink, a metering valve and a point 4 which is in continuous contact with an edge 5, 57 of the panel and which inks the aforesaid edge. Said priming device is actuated by means of three electrical contact devices 32, 33, 34: the first 32 provides a signal so that the priming device pushes the point 4, the second 33 provides a signal so that the priming device 22 withdraws to the rest position, and the third 34 ensures that the priming device 22 is held in said rest position in the event of failure of the device 33. It makes it possible to ink the edges of panels automatically as part of the gluing process, thereby facilitating the manufacturing process. <IMAGE>
