A damper for vehicles, comprising a housing having an inner space, formed out of a rigid material and fixed to a vibration transmission member, and a filler sealed in a non-bonded state in the inner space of the housing with clearances left in the direction of vibration of the housing, and formed at at least a surface thereof out of an elastic material, wherein, when the housing receives vibration from the vibration transmission member and resonates, the filler contacts the inner surfaces of the housing on both sides in the direction of the vibration and displays a damping capability owing to an energy loss due to the sliding friction and impact of the filler, whereby a large damping force occurs in the inner portion of the housing to effectively minimize the vibration of the housing, so that the vibration of the vibration transmission member is effectively suppressed, this damper for vehicles enabling the weight thereof to be reduced, the temperature dependency to be eliminated, and a high damping effect to be displayed with respect to even a plurality of resonances of different frequencies.
