Substituted N-aryl-O-alkyl carbamate derivatives (I) are new. Substituted N-aryl-O-alkyl carbamate derivatives of formula (I) are new. Ar<1> = phenyl, naphthyl, tetralinyl, furyl, benzofuryl, thienyl, benzothienyl, pyridinyl, quinolinyl, isoquinolinyl or a group of formula (i) (all optionally substituted by CN, NO2 or halogen or 1-5C alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, alkylcarbonyl or alkoxycarbonyl, themselves optionally substituted by halogen); A = 1-3C alkanediyl (optionally substituted by halogen); Ar<2> = 2-chloro-3-fluorophenyl, 2-chloro-4-fluorophenyl, 2-chloro-5-fluorophenyl, 2-chloro-6-fluorophenyl, 2-chloro-3-methylphenyl, 2-chloro-4-methylphenyl, 2-chloro-6-methylphenyl, 2-chloro-3-methoxyphenyl, 2-chloro-4-methoxyphenyl, 2-chloro-5-methoxyphenyl, 2-chloro-6-methoxyphenyl, 3-chloro-2-methoxyphenyl, 4-chloro-2-methoxyphenyl, 5-chloro-2-methoxyphenyl, 2-fluoro-3-methylphenyl, 2-fluoro-4-methylphenyl, 2-fluoro-6-methylphenyl, 5-fluoro-2-methylphenyl, 2-fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl, 3-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl, 4-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl, 5-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl or 6-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl; Q = O, S, SO, SO2 or CH2; and R = 1-4C alkyl.
