A shopping trolley handle covering (adapter) designed as an information carrier is described. The information carrier consists of a base component (2) and a covering component (3) arranged on this. Between the latter, the information made out of paper or foil is placed and the base component partly or completely surrounds the conventional shopping trolley handle. The information carrier extends preferably over the whole width of the shopping trolley handle and the covering component is located horizontally on the base component. The information carrier possesses ergonomic outer contours. The front and rear sides preferably run at an angle to the transverse axis that allows a visual perception of the information over larger distances and from two sides (from the front and from the back) or the top side is curved like a semi circle.
