The invention provides an AC motor, which utilizes capacitor to change the current phase to achieve shunt excitation in order to get better operation characteristic. The AC motor includes excitation winding, rotating armature winding and commutator, the excitation winding is in parallel with the rotating armature winding, and further includes capacitor, said capacity is in series with the excitation winding before it is in parallel with the rotating armature winding.
