<p>A vehicle motor belt (16) passes through two upper (6) and one lower (15) points of contact. The lower contact is mounted on a slider (9) which may be raised by a knurled head (13). The lateral pressure on the lower contact is measured by a strain gauge and transmitted (17) to a control box which is able to receive data specific to the belt and use stored tables to produce the belt tension directly and signal a comparison to a standard value.</p> |
