On a base layer (2) capillary-active test zones (21 - 25) are disposed side by side, which form a liquid transport part (30), along which a liquid flows, driven by capillary forces. In this case, a specific detection reaction proceeds, which leads to a species which is characteristic of the desired analysis, this species being detected in a detection zone (26).
In order to make available a test strip which is easy to handle and can be produced at low cost and which is suitable for the evaluation of highly concentrated analysis reagents without stages of dilution, a bonding partner which is specific to the analysis reagent and which acts as trapping reagent is provided, which is so disposed in a zone of the liquid transport part (30) and is so dimensioned with respect to the quantity employed that it bonds a part of the analysis reagent and thereby withdraws that part from the interaction leading to the characteristic species.
