The device has two rollers (1), on which the vehicle tires can be made to rotate. A wheel contact plate (10) is arranged between the rollers over a shock-absorbing device. The rollers can be freely or forcedly moved axially. The rollers and the wheel contact plate can be moved with respect to each other in the vertical direction. Devices are provided to move the axial displacement and the rotation of the rollers.
