PURPOSE:To obtain a package cushioning material using natural raw material which is easy to manufacture and assemble, excellent in cushioning effect at the corner part which tends to undergo impact concentration and free from bulkiness for the storage or disposal. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of corrugated cardboard or cardboard is folded to integrally form, in top view, a V-shaped vertical load receiving part 1 and a W-shaped lateral load receiving part 2 having the surfaces common to both the sides. These sides (4) are secured in a packaging case by extensions 6 or tongue pieces. In the case of the formation with the corrugated cardboard, the liner of the corrugated cardboard is set in the vertical direction. Preferably, a back-up material formed of an integral material by folding it is provided on the rear face of the W-shaped part of the lateral load receiving part 2. The back-up material is formed into a doubly foldable structure in its entirety, its part to be positioned behind the W-shaped part of the lateral load receiving part 2 is folded over the lateral load receiving part 2 by forming a V-shaped ridge line when seen from the rear and the ridge line inside the folded part is further folded to form a small V-shaped part which is attached to the central rear face of the W-shaped part of the lateral load receiving part 2. |
