<p>A catalytic converter reactor includes a substrate body and a very thin sheet metal mantle strip encircling the substrate body. The substrate body includes flat foil strips alternating with corrugated foil strips, the foil strips being wound-up to form axial flow through passages. The mantle strip has a thickness in the range of 0.1 to 0.8 mm, and is provided with radially inwardly projecting ridges received in radially outwardly open recesses of the substrate body, to axially lock the mantle strip to the substrate body.</p> |
