PURPOSE: A manufacturing method and a device for a foaming body are provided to mix a foaming material with liquid phase dioxide under pressure for relieving the pressure to form a foaming body. CONSTITUTION: A process and a device are described for continuous production of foam slabstock by foaming a reactive polyurethane mixture containing carbon dioxide dissolved under pressure. The pressure of the mixture is dissipated on passing through an annular slot-shaped relief area. Blockage of the slot owing to shifts in the peripheral surfaces of the slot is prevented.
