PURPOSE: A cap assembly of secondary battery is provided to guarantee the sealing characteristic and therefore the safety. CONSTITUTION: The cap assembly of secondary battery coupled to the top opening of the can having electrolyte and an electrode roll having an anode, a cathode and a separator wound by a gasket, comprises: a plate(36) having a safety valve; a current limiter(34); and a cap cover(32). Polymer(44) is coated on the side of one or more among said plate(36), current limiter(34) and cap cover(32). Said polymer is one of fluoride system, polyimide system, teflon, polyethylen and polyprophylen. The portion of the bottom of said plate contacted with said gasket is coated with the polymer. A current breaker is coupled to the bottom of said plate by an insulator. |
