METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING TELECOMMUNICATION IN CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: Method and apparatus for controlling telecommunication in CDMA telecommunication system are provided to employ a slot mode and allow a terminal to receive and control signals of adjacent base stations more than ever. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmits a call message for a specific terminal through a paging channel(31) in a slip mode every a constant period and simultaneously transmits a pilot signal stronger than a normal electric power through a pilot channel(32), periodically. The terminal performs a sampling for a few symbol time from signals received in the terminal during the signal duration right prior to a call slot allotted to the terminal among a strong pilot signal duration transmitted periodically and stores the sampled signals. Thereafter, a detector of the terminal wakes from the slip mode and starts to detect. A finger operation(36) of the terminal starts at a time when the detector captures an active sector, conceives multiple path component, and allots the captured active sector and the conceived multiple path component to the finger.
