In a push-button socket connector type of circuit selection switch in which an insulating strip 2, Fig. 12, carrying contacts 3 on opposite faces is moved in and out of a socket connector having parallel sets of spring contacts 5 and in which the contacts 3 are divided into parallel strips, gaps 6 in the strips are cut diagonally so that the contacts 5, Fig. 9, are prevented from engaging and rubbing on the insulation. The gaps 6 may also be of "V" form, Fig. 10, or of "W" form.
