PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having respectively long-term stable dispersibility and fluidity even at low temperatures by dispersing ferromagnetic fine particles through a specified coupling agent and a reactive silicon oil in a silicon oil-based dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION:Ferromagnetic fine particles are dispersed in a dispersion medium through (A) a coupling agent having functional groups capable of reacting with a functional group on the surface of the ferromagnetic fine particles and of directly bonding to the surface of the above-mentioned fine particles through a reaction product produced in said reaction and represented, e.g. by the formula (Y is functional group; R is hydrocarbon; X is hydrolyzable group, e.g. alkoxy such as methoxy or ethoxy or halogen capable of forming OH group by hydrolysis; R' is hydrocarbon; (n)is 1-3) and (B) a reactive silicon oil having functional groups capable of directly bonding to other functional groups of the component (A), thus obtaining the objective composition. |
