PURPOSE: A handoff method is provided to maintain communication while moving in a mobile communications system. CONSTITUTION: A handoff device comprises a mobile station, which transmits a handoff demand message, including a measuring value of signal strength and progressing direction information, when the signal strength is more than a regular level.
