PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a digital line signal of a private switching system without using an additional device for a line signal monitor is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for monitoring a digital line signal of a private switching system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a line signal having a predetermined message format by a communication between processes according to a digital channel enable request and transmitting a display data corresponding to the line signal; receiving the display data by a key phone and transmitting the display data on a display device of the key phone, wherein the line signal is divided into an idle state, a line occupancy state, an occupancy confirming state, a response state, a receiving side a circuit recovering state, a transmitting side circuit recovering state, a receiving side a circuit recovery confirming state, a transmitting side circuit recovery confirming state, and a close state.
