PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for automatically sensing a user in a security system is provided, which can normally operate an entire security system when a user is existed in the security system. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for automatically sensing a user in a security system comprises: a moving sensor unit (10) for sensing a movement in a security region and outputting a first detecting signal; a wireless receiving unit (20) for receiving a wireless signal and comparing the received wireless signal with a predetermined code to output a second detecting signal according to the compared result; a signal detecting unit (30) for combining the signals of the sensor unit (10) and the wireless receiving unit (20) and outputting an alarm signal to a security system CPU when two signals are the alarm signal; and an operating unit for performing the security mode set or reset of the security system. Thereby, it is possible to effectively use the security system.
