PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a gate pulse of a LCD and control method thereof is provided, which simultaneously drives a video data to a plurality of gate line. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for driving a gate pulse of a LCD comprises: a pulse generator (40) for outputting a successive pulse; a gate driving unit (20) for dividing a gate clock, being synchronized to the gate clock to output the successive pulse; a data driving unit (30) for outputting a gradation voltage; and a liquid crystal panel (10) including a gate line and a data line for displaying a picture when the successive pulse outputted from the gate driving unit (20) is provided to the gate line and the gradation voltage outputted from the data driving unit (30) the gate line. Thereby, it is possible to prevent a coupling between lines and remove a luminance difference between lines.
