PURPOSE: A cover opening and closing apparatus is provided to safely lead an opening and closing operation of a cover using an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION: The cover opening and closing apparatus comprises a plurality of electromagnets(12a, 12b, 12c, 12d), an operation table(14) and a computer(16). The plurality of electromagnets(12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) are installed on the cover, and make the cover be attached and detached at an equipment having magnetic bodies(10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) according to a power supply state. The operation table(14) supplies a power to the plurality of electromagnets(12a, 12b, 12c, 12d), and the computer(16) supplies a control signal to the operation table(14) so as to be controlled an opening and closing operation of the cover.
