PURPOSE: A battery voltage sustain device and method thereof is provided to previously prevent various inconveniences and the aging due to the battery discharge. CONSTITUTION: The battery voltage sustain device comprises: an automatic power interrupt circuit unit(100) automatically interrupting the voltage supplied from a battery(110) mounted in a vehicle; a minimum voltage gauging unit(200) gauging the battery voltages applied in resisters(R1,R2) to input them into an A/D port of a micom(310); a controller(300) controlling the operation of a switch(SW1) by using the value input from said minimum voltage gauging unit(200), sensing the ON/OFF time of said switch(SW1), and sensing the minimum voltage by using the N value of a division circuit(320), capacitor(C3) and the time constant of a resistor(R3); an operator(400) operating various equipments within the vehicle by using the voltage of said battery(110); and an ignition switch operator(500) controlling the operation of the switch(SW1) if a driver inserts his key during sensing the minimum voltage on the micom(310) of said controller(300)
