PURPOSE: An imaginary gap head of magnetic storing/reading apparatus is provided to improve efficiency and speed of scanning by changing structure of an imaginary gap head and method of scanning. CONSTITUTION: The imaginary gap head comprises a magnetic circuit having thermo magnetism effect, winded an electric winding on one side, contacted a magnetic media on the other side corresponding to valid recording area, and formed an imaginary gap according as a laser light emitted from a light source is reached a light reaching face, a diffraction portion for diffracting the laser light emitted from the light source from a primary position to a last position of the valid recording area, and a light isolation portion attached the light reaching face of the magnetic circuit to reach the laser light in a predetermined region of the magnetic circuit.
