PURPOSE: A shifting device of an automatic transmission having manual speed change function is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost, its size and its weight and to make easy the selection and the cancellation of the selection of the manual speed change mode. CONSTITUTION: The device is composed of:a base(100); a pivot shaft(110) supported on the base to be able to rotate; a selector lever(120) crosswise combined to the pivot shaft; a speed change position determination plate(130) having position determining group sills(131-135) to select the shift positions such as P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1 of the selector lever; a cable operation bracket(140) combined to one wall of the base by pivot; a switching lever(150) combined to the other wall of the base by pivot; elastic pieces(160, 161) to return the switching lever to the neutral position; a manual mode detecting switch assembly(170) placed on one side of the switching lever; an automatic and manual mode selection maintenance piece(180) to maintain the selected state elastically when connecting or disconnecting the manual or automatic mode the selector lever; and an automatic speed change position maintenance piece(190).
