PURPOSE: An optical communication network of subcarrier multiplexing method for a cordless communication system is provided to extend a transmission distance of the network and a number of branch. CONSTITUTION: The optical communication network comprises a single central base station(210) and a branch base station(220, 230) which are accessed by a passive type branch element(240, 250), and is made to be multi star architecture. The central base station outputs a downward signal having respective different intermediate frequencies to the branch base station. The downward signal is transmitted into microwave signal through an electrical/optical converting unit(215) of the central base station, the passive branch element, an optical/electrical converting unit(222, 232) of the branch base station, and a frequency upward converting unit(224, 234) of the branch base station. The respective branch base station outputs a upward signal having respective different intermediate frequencies. The upward signal is transmitted to the central base station through a frequency downward converting unit(223, 233) of the branch base station, an electric/optical converting unit(221, 231) of the branch base station, the passive branch element, and an electric/optical converting unit(214) of the central base station. |
