OPTICAL DISK RECORD/REPRODUCE APPARATUS USING MULTI-BEAM

PURPOSE: An optical disk record/reproduce apparatus is provided to improve a record density by recording/reproducing a signal to/from a plurality of tracks at the same time. CONSTITUTION: The optical disk record/reproduce apparatus comprises a pickup, a signal processing block and a servo controller. The pickup comprises a laser diode array having a plurality of laser diodes(LD1 to LD4) each for generating a beam so as to be arranged the beams in a zig-zag; a collimate lens(L1 to L4) for making the beams irradiated from the laser diode array being in parallel; a beam splitter(BS1) for outputting an incident beam of a parallel beam to a disk direction; an object lens(BSE1) for focusing the incident beam outputted in the disk direction from the beam splitter to a zig-zag, and making a beam reflected from a disk being in parallel, wherein the beam splitter divides a reflection beam passing through the object lens in the direction of the diodes of the plurality(PD).
