PURPOSE: An oscillator having short protection function of power transistor are provided to stabilize the operation of the power transistor and protect the power transistor for a short time though the power transistor is short. CONSTITUTION: The oscillator having short protection function of power transistor comprises: a current source(20) supplying the first current; an oscillating unit(10) which the first capacitor is charged in the ON of the first PNP transistor and is discharged in the OFF of the first PNP transistor, and outputting oscillating signals to a power transistor(30) in accordance with the charge and discharge of said first capacitor; and a short sensing unit supplying the second current to said capacitor by becoming ON the second PNP transistor if the output voltage is greater than prescribed voltage by the short of the power transistor.
