PURPOSE: A redundant data packet switch is provided to transmit data to a second packet router from a master packet router. CONSTITUTION: A redundant data packet switch comprises: a first controller for routing a data packet to an output interface from an input interface; a second controller for converting the routed data packet from the first controller, and performing. The first controller comprises an in-bound Q, an out-bound Q, and a control processor capable of the first data packet process and of giving an identifier to the first data packet. The control processor gives the identifier to a second data packet, the second data packet is stored in one of the in-bound Q and the out-bound Q, related to the first data packet. The first data packet is deleted only when all processes related to the first data packet are completed.
