The I.C. card has layers (10) with intermediate layers of adhesive. They are assembled together in a press (20) that has a lower plate (21), an upper plate (22) and a sprung base (23). Stops (24) are provided to end the process when the pressure has produced a required thickness, fixed by the distance remaining between the upper and the lower plate. The thickness is varied since the stops consist of a head (24b) and a shaft (24a), with the head having a number of possible sizes and the shaft location in the lower plate. |
