PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make exactly and quickly detectable the surface level of a melt by searching digitalized information data of image signals taken by electron image sensing means for two intersection points of ridge lines defined by the top face of a melt vessel and both side faces, melt surface and both side faces, respectively and a longitudinal ridge line defined by both side faces. SOLUTION: An electronic image pickup device 21 is provided for the measuring control of a surface position 17 of molten Al injected in an Al receiving part 16 of a mold 11. The image picture position at an intersection point 19 of the lateral ridge lines 13a', 14a' defined by the top face of the mold 11 and longitudinal and lateral side faces 13a, 14a and lateral ridge lines 13a", 14a" defined by the longitudinal and lateral side faces 13a, 14a is obtained from the taken image screen. The image screen position at an intersection point 20 of the lateral ridge lines 13a', 14a' defined by the longitudinal and lateral side faces 13a, 14a and melt surface position 17 and lateral ridge lines 13a", 14a" and longitudinal ridge line 18 is obtd. The distance T between the intersection points 19, 20 is proportional to the distance T from the top face of the mold 11 to the melt surface position 17 and hence the quantity of the injection molten Al is obtd. |
