PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a focusing condition even when plural sensor parts do not perform focus detection with respect to the same object to be detected and when the reliability of the detection result performed by the one part of the sensor parts is low. SOLUTION: This device is provided with focusing condition detecting means (#2 to #6) independently and respectively detecting the focusing condition from the output of the plural sensor parts with respect to substantially the same part, reliability judging means (#8, #12) judging the reliability of the plural focusing conditions obtained from the respective sensor parts, a focusing condition comparing means (#9) comparing plural focusing conditions obtained from the respective plural sensor parts, and focusing condition deciding means (#10, #11, #13) deciding the focusing condition with respect to substantially the same part based on the focusing condition, the reliability, and the focusing condition compared result. |
