DATA TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DEVICE FOR EXECUTING DATA RETRANSMISSION, AND PARALLEL PROCESSOR SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel processor system which can retransmit data with no limitation required for the transfer distance of the data set from an optional point in the system and also for the data transfer rate. SOLUTION: Each of processing nodes and switching devices constructing a parallel processing system includes the data transmitting/receiving devices 100 and 200. The device 100 transmits the data stored in a transfer data buffer 110 to the device 200 of the connected switching device according to the instruction of a processor P that is contained in a node of the device 100 itself. Meanwhile, the device 200 stores the data in a transfer data buffer 210. If an error of the received data is detected by an error detector 214, the device 200 transmits a retransmission request signal 10 to a retransmission control circuit 114 of the device 100 via a retransmission control circuit 215. When the retransmission of data is indicated to a data transmission control circuit 112, a buffer control circuit 111 reads the data again out of the buffer 110 and retransmits them.
