PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable adequate for a strain detecting sensor with which a stable measured value may be obtd. without being affected by a temp. distribution. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable is constituted by disposing a sheath 5 on an assemblage formed by assembling coated optical fibers 3, loose units 4 formed by housing optical fibers 4b with slack into pipes 4a without twisting and providing the outside surface of this sheath 5 with markers 6 for rectilinearly laying the coated optical fibers 3.
