PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crucible furnace used in the case of melting and/or refining nonferrous metals by alleviating working of three severe factors such as dirt, severe and heavy environments for maintenance of a furnace wall, effectively maintaining in a short time, improving a lifetime of the furnace, eliminating a sudden fault and operating stably with a high efficiency. SOLUTION: In a lining refractory for a wall of the stationary or tilting type crucible furnace used in the case of melting or melting to refine nonferrous metals such as aluminum material, copper material or the like, parts excluding necessary openings for installing a burner tile 3, a slag outlet 10, a thermocouple protection tube 4 or the like are formed of integrally shaped refractories 9, the refractories 9 are installed at predetermined positions in a furnace body shell, necessary members such as the tiles 3 or the like are associated, and then a gap between the shell and the refractories 9 is associated with necessary member such as the tiles 3 or the like. Then, the gap between the shell and the refractories 9 is filled with dry monolithic refractories 8. Its upper end being sealed with a sealing material 5 as needed, and by the monolithic refractories 9 and the dry castable refractories 8 is a multilayer structure built by sealing with the material 5 as needed.
