PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a turntable preventing a media disk from floating at the time of high speed rotation and capable of mounting the disk thereon in the always stable state by providing a means for keeping the media disk to be attracted in the manner of generating the negative lift on the turntable. SOLUTION: The turntable 10 is provided with a media chucking boss 10a at the center part and furnished with plural blowing fins 10b around there. When the media disk is placed on the media placing surface 10c of the turntable 10 constituted in such a manner and rotated at a high speed, the part shown by F of the air existing at the upstream side of the rotational direction of the blowing fins 10b becomes to have the negative pressure since the air is sent to the specific direction by the blowing fins 10b, thereby the media disk is attracted onto the media placing surface 10c. Thus, the media disk does not float even though the vibration and the ununiform wind pressure generated by the spindle motor are exerted on the media disk such as warped, defected, etc.
