Said apparatus (10) comprises: an input terminal (12) for receiving a sequence of chronologically and/or spatially sequential input image data sets (30), each of which consists of a two-dimensional arrangement of input image points (42); an image-processing device (20) in which the sequence of input image data sets is processed so as to delimit at least one object represented in said data sets in relation to other image data (44) and form an image thereof in at least one output image data set (37) consisting of output image points (41); and an output terminal (16) for emitting the at least one output image data set (37). The device for processing image data (20) comprises a two-dimensional system (70) of elementary correlation-type motion sensors (50).
