PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of an indoor air conditioner by disposing an antibacterial and mildew proof material for eluting antibacterial and mildew proof components when bringing it into contact with water at a bottom of a drain pan, thereby realizing an antibacterial and mildew proof countermeasure of a water guide passage at a low cost. SOLUTION: An antibacterial and mildew proof material 20 is disposed at a water guide passage for receiving water dropped from an indoor heat exchanger and draining it out of the exchanger. Its disposing positions are at bottoms of drain pans 7, 8. Because, since the material 20 has properties for eluting antibacterial and mildew proof components in water if the material 20 is brought into contact with the water, when the material 20 is disposed at the bottoms of the pans 7, 8 for storing a certain quantity of drain waters, the components are smoothly and sufficiently eluted to perform sufficient antibacterial and mildew proof effects. The material 20 is obtained by molding inorganic antibacterial and mildew proof agent carrying ionic antibacterial agent in an inorganic compound in a predetermined shape. As the antibacterial agent, silver ion is preferably used since copper ion might sometimes deteriorates a resin. |
