PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption as much as possible, to perform job operation by automatically canceling power saving mode corresponding to a job request, to automatically restore a state before executing the job operation, after the job operation is ended and to automatically shift to a desired power saving mode after the job operation is completed. SOLUTION: In this image input/output method, a job is requested in a core part 10, an image input job for inputting images from a read part 1 is controlled in the core part 10, and an image output job for image transferring image data inputting from the reader part 1 to the reader part 1 is controlled in the core part 10. The respective jobs to be controlled are combined corresponding to the job request, image input and output are controlled in the core part 10, and the power source turn on/off of this image input/output device is requested in the core part 10. In accordance with the request, the power source of the image input/output device is on/off controlled in the core part 10, and the power source state of the image input/output device is stored in a memory 124. |
