PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical head device with which a magnetic field is impressed to a region where an evanescent light is made to exit. SOLUTION: The magneto-optical head device, which performs the recording and/or reproducing of a signal into a magneto-optical recording medium by a laser beam and the magnetic field, incorporates a magneto-optical head 5 having an optical region 51, in which the magneto-optical recording medium is irradiated with the evanescent light, and a magnetic region 52 which consists of a coil 520 impressing the magnetic field to the magneto-optical recording medium, and an objective lens 4, with which a laser beam is converged on an end surface 510 where the optical region 51 of the magneto-optical head 5 is opposed to the magneto-optical recording medium. Further, the magnetic region 52 has a positioning mark for winding the coil 520. Furthermore, the coil 520 may be wound either in a spiral form or in a concentric circular form. |
