PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature compensated quartz oscillator capable of stably maintaining temperature compensating data stored on an IC chip and stably performing a stable temperature compensation operation. SOLUTION: This temperature compensated quartz oscillator consists of a container body 1 which has a cavity part 10 on the bottom face and is constructed by laminating at least three or more insulation layers 1a to 1d, a quartz vibrator 2 mounted on the surface side of the container body 1, an IC chip 3 which is mounted on the cavity part 10 and also stores temperature compensating data and external terminal electrodes 11 to 14 arranged on the bottom face of the container body 1 so as to be connected to the IC chip 3. And, terminal electrodes 15 to 18 for IC control which do not reach the surface or bottom of the container body 1 are formed on the side faces of the container body 1.
